Speech Therapy that Comes to You

Support that feels natural, personalized, and rooted in your family’s everyday life. I will help your child communicate with confidence—right at home.

Every child deserves the chance to feel understood, express themselves, and connect with the world around them. In-home speech and language therapy allows children to learn and grow in an environment where they feel safe, supported, and comfortable—their own home.

My approach combines evidence-based practices with a warm, relationship-centered style. I partner with families to build communication skills in meaningful, everyday moments—because growth doesn’t just happen in a therapy room; it blooms at home.

Who This Service Is For

This service may be a great fit if your child:

• Has trouble expressing their wants, needs, or ideas
• Has difficulty understanding language, following directions, or communicating socially
• Is late to talk or not meeting milestones
• Has speech sound difficulties that impact how clearly they are understood
• Benefits from learning through play and daily routines
• Needs support with early communication, language, or foundational literacy skills

I support children of all ages, however I have a warm emphasis on early intervention when communication skills are developing most rapidly.

What’s Included

Your family receives highly individualized care tailored to your child’s personality, strengths, and needs. Services may include:

• One-on-one speech and language therapy delivered in your home and/or other routine based environment your child is familiar with
• Personalized treatment plans aligned with your child’s goals
• Play-based, functional, and evidence-based therapy approaches
• Family coaching and strategies for supporting communication during daily routines
• Collaborative goal-setting with caregivers
• Regular progress updates and recommendations for home carryover
• Coordination with your child’s school or outside providers, as needed

Because I keep my caseload intentionally small, your child receives individualized attention, thoughtful planning, and consistent support.

How It Works

  1. Initial Consultation
We begin with a brief phone or email consultation to discuss your concerns, answer questions, and determine whether in-home therapy is the best fit.
  2. Evaluation or Record Review
If needed, a speech and language evaluation is completed to assess your child’s communication strengths and needs. If your child has a recent evaluation, I can also review it instead.
  3. Personalized Treatment Plan
We’ll create a plan together that reflects your goals, your child’s needs, and what success looks like for your family.
  4. Therapy Begins
Sessions take place in your home—where your child is most comfortable and able to practice skills in real-life routines.
  5. Family Collaboration
You’ll receive simple strategies to use between sessions to support growth and carryover. I’m here to support and coach you at every step.

AAC Services for Families

Empowering children to communicate in the way that works best for them. Communication comes in many forms and I believe all are worthy and valid.

Every child deserves to and has the potential to communicate. For some children, their communication may thrive through the use of Augmented and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. My hope in providing AAC support is to help families find the communication method that best supports their child—and to walk with you through each step of the AAC journey with compassion, clarity, and confidence.

Whether you're just beginning to explore AAC or you're seeking support once a system is in place, I provide family-centered AAC services designed to create meaningful progress at home, at school, and in the community.

Who This Service Is For

AAC services may be a good fit if your child:

• Uses very few spoken words and has significant difficulty expressing needs, ideas, or feelings
• Relies on gestures, pointing, or sounds rather than traditional spoken language to communicate
• Has a developmental disability or medical condition that severely impacts communication
• Shows significant frustration when trying to communicate
• Is using AAC already, but needs more support to grow their use of it

AAC can support children of all ages, from early childhood through adolescence, whether your child is just beginning to explore alternative communication or is ready for a robust system to expand language.

How AAC Services Work

  1. Initial Conversation
We start with a no-pressure conversation to learn about your child’s strengths, communication needs, and your goals for AAC.
  2. Evaluation + Trials
If an AAC assessment is recommended, we complete an evaluation and provide trial opportunities with appropriate AAC tools so your child can try systems before choosing one.
  3. Funding & Device Acquisition
I support families through the process of obtaining an AAC device through a variety of funding sources.
  4. Therapy & Coaching Begin
Once a system is in place, AAC therapy and caregiver coaching help your child learn to use their communication system in real-life moments that matter most.
  5. Team Collaboration
With your permission, I can collaborate with teachers, IEP teams, or other providers to support consistent AAC use across environments.

FAQ

Do you offer virtual speech therapy?

At this time, services are provided in-person only, as I believe children benefit most from hands-on, relationship-based support within their natural environment.

How often are sessions?

Most children are seen 1–2 times per week for 30–60 minutes. We will decide a schedule that fits your child’s needs and your family’s routines.

    Do you accept insurance?

I am currently working toward becoming in-network with Idaho Medicaid, Blue Cross of Idaho, Tricare, United, and possibly additional plans. Private pay options are also available.

Can parents or siblings participate in sessions?

Absolutely! Caregiver involvement is encouraged—when families learn alongside the child, skills blossom faster.

Do we need a doctor’s referral to start?

No referral is necessary to begin a conversation with me, however most insurance/payors require a referral for any type of speech therapy evaluation or treatment which includes AAC.

Will AAC stop or delay my child from talking?

No. Research actually shows that AAC supports and often increases spoken language, because children learn that communication is powerful and effective.

Do we have to purchase anything before starting?

No. If an AAC device trial is appropriate, I will guide you through options and next steps without requiring any purchases up front.

Is AAC only for children who are not speaking at all?

Not at all. AAC can support children who are nonspeaking, minimally speaking, or a speaking a lot but need help expressing more complex language.
